An NRI credit card is a credit card issued by ICICI Bank to Non-Resident Indians (NRE/NRO) with valid proof of overseas address, passport, visa, min. CRV and a satisfactory credit score are eligible.

Can NRI customers avail unsecured credit cards?

Yes, both NRE and NRO account holders are eligible to avail unsecured credit cards, subject to eligibility. No fixed deposit or collateral is required.

Which ICICI Bank credit card variants are available for NRI customers?

Are joint account holders eligible for NRI credit cards?

No, only individual applicants and primary account holders are eligible to apply for NRI credit cards. Joint account holders cannot apply independently.

What documents are required if the customer is KYC compliant?

If the customer is already KYC compliant, no additional documents are required. The branch or relationship manager can proceed with the application without collecting fresh documentation.

What documents are required if the customer’s re-KYC is due?

Documents include overseas address proof, PAN or Form 60, photograph, valid passport, valid visa/work permit/resident card, FATCA form (if applicable), and any government-issued address proof. Overseas address is mandatory.

Is overseas address mandatory for NRI credit card applications?

Yes, overseas address proof in the name of the applicant is mandatory for processing the NRI credit card application.

What is the eligibility criteria for NRI customers to apply for a NRI credit card?

The customer must have a minimum CRV of ₹50 lakhs, hold an NRE or NRO account with ICICI Bank, be at least 25 years old, and be an individual primary account holder. The maximum age is 58 years for salaried and 65 years for self-employed applicants.

Repayments can be made through auto-debit facility from the linked NRE or NRO account. Customers must authorize auto-debit while submitting the application form.

Are NRI credit cards enabled for lounge access?

International and domestic lounge access is available only to NRE customers, depending on the variant of the card. NRO customers are eligible for domestic lounge access only.

Are customers from all countries eligible to apply for NRI credit cards?

No, customers from OFAC-listed countries and ECGC-classified high-risk, very high-risk, and off-cover countries are excluded.

Can NRO cardholders use their card for international transactions?

No, NRO customers can use their credit card only for domestic transactions within India. International transactions are not permitted on NRO credit cards.

Closure charges, if any, depend on the specific card variant and bank’s prevailing policy. Customers should verify with ICICI Bank customer service.

The customer can submit a closure request through their relationship manager or by visiting the nearest ICICI Bank branch. All outstanding dues must be cleared before the card can be officially closed.
